‘Content Curation’ and the role of libraries

Content curation is the process of gathering information relevant to a particular topic or area of interest (wikipedia). From the definition itself , it is clear that this a librarian’s tool. One of the the prime services the librarians do is to collect relevant and useful information on a particular area or topic as per the requirement of a potential user. Content curation websites can help librarians to curate online or e-resources to deliver them to a special group of users. Here is an experiment, Kendriya Vidyalaya News Digest on Scoop.it, which curates available online news or information related to Kendriya Vidyalayas.
