Library as Classroom Activity in Primary Education

Abstract
Class libraries and classroom library activities equip primary school children to effectively find,
evaluate and use information according to their curriculum needs. Library as an activity develops reading
habit, communicative skills and language proficiency. Class teachers with a carefully prepared class
library programme, supported by librarians and administrators can make children, information literates
and life long learners.
